SINGAPORE: Full—time National Serviceman Second Lieutenant (2LT) Nicholas Chan Wei Kit died in hospital on Friday after a Land Rover he was inspecting rolled backwards and hit him, pinning him under the vehicle.
A statement from the Ministry of Defence says 2LT Chan, a Motor Transport Officer, was taking delivery of the SAF Land Rover in Seletar Camp at about 11.30am when the incident happened.
A recovery vehicle was activated half an hour later and managed to lift the Land Rover.
A medical team from the Seletar Medical Centre attempted to resuscitate 2LT Chan immediately. He was sent to Changi General Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 1.07pm.
Mindef and the SAF extend their deepest condolences to the family of the late 2LT Chan.
Mindef says it will assist the family in their time of grief. It is also investigating the incident.
Rest in peace , brother .

"I don't think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I'm gay," Lambert told the music magazine in excerpts from an interview released Tuesday as it was announced that he had secured a record contract with his debut album due out in fall.
"I'm proud of my sexuality," he said. "I embrace it. It's just another part of me."

Lambert, who was widely considered the front-runner going into the finale, had never publicly said he was gay. In March, when photos appeared on the Internet of him kissing another man and dressed in drag, he said only: "I have nothing to hide. I am who I am."

On Tuesday, producer 19 Recordings said it had signed Lambert to a record contract and that his debut album will likely be released in the fall through RCA Records.
The announcement came a day after 19 Recordings said it had signed Allen to a record deal, a guaranteed result of his first-place finish on "American Idol." 19 Recordings is run by Simon Fuller, executive producer of "American Idol."
Lambert, 27, grew up in San Diego, California, and starred in musical theater before trying out for "Idol" last year.
In the Rolling Stone interview, he said he had a "psychedelic experience'' at an annual festival held in the Nevada desert called Burning Man, and that experience convinced him to try out for "American Idol."
"I realized that we all have our own power, and that whatever I wanted to do, I had to make happen," Lambert told Rolling Stone.
Lambert also revealed a crush on Allen, who was his roommate for much of the two singers' run on "American Idol."
"He's the one guy that I found attractive in the whole group on the show: nice, nonchalant, pretty and totally my type -- except that he has a wife," Lambert joked.
"American Idol" is broadcast by the Fox network, a unit of News Corp. Past winners, including Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, have enjoyed Grammy-winning careers, but stardom has also touched runners-up such as Chris Daughtry.

Millvina Dean, last Titanic survivor, dies in England
LONDON (AFP) - - Millvina Dean, the last remaining survivor of the sinking of the Titanic in 1912, died in a care home in England on Sunday, media reports said. She was 97.
Elizabeth Gladys Dean, known to friends as Millvina, was only nine weeks old when the liner hit an iceberg in the Atlantic Ocean on the night of April 14, 1912, and sank killing 1,500 people.
She survived after being bundled up in a sack and carried to safety. Her mother Georgette Eva and brother Bertram also made it, but her father, Bertram Frank, was among those who died.
Dean died in a private nursing home near Ashurst in the southern English county of Hampshire, according to the BBC and Britain's domestic Press Association news agency. Staff there refused to comment late Sunday.
Dean's family had boarded the Titanic at Southampton, heading for a new life in Kansas where her father hoped to open a tobacconist shop.
Born on February 12, 1912, Dean was the youngest passenger on board. At the time, RMS Titanic was the most luxurious, most technically advanced and largest passenger liner in the world.
She was dubbed "unsinkable", but it took just two hours and 40 minutes for her to disappear into the icy waters of the Atlantic after striking an iceberg at 11:40 pm on April 14.
Dean was taken back to Southampton with her family after the disaster and did not find out that she had been on board until she was eight years old and her mother was planning to remarry.
According to enthusiasts' website Encyclopedia Titanica (ET), Dean worked for the government as a cartographer during World War II and then for an engineering company.
She told reporters that it was not until the wreckage of the liner was found in 1985 that she suddenly became a celebrity, taking part in documentaries and giving media interviews.
Dean was invited to complete her family's ill-fated journey to the United States in 1997 aboard the QE2, and accepted, although she turned down an offer to attend the premier of the movie "Titanic" because it would be too upsetting.
She moved into a private nursing home in Hampshire after breaking her hip three years ago, and after struggling to pay the bills was forced to sell off some of her memorabilia.
At auction in October 2008 she raised 31,150 pounds (40,000 euros, 53,900 dollars), selling off rare prints of the liner signed by the artists as well as compensation letters sent to her mother by the Titanic Relief Fund.
Dean was also forced to sell a 100-year-old suitcase filled with clothes donated to her family by the people of New York when they arrived after being rescued.
In the wake of the auction, friends including members of the British Titanic Society and the Belfast Titanic Society -- the liner was built in Belfast in Northern Ireland-- set up a campaign to secure her future.
Among the donors to the Millvina Fund were Hollywood actors Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio, who starred in the 1997 "Titanic" film. The pair and the film's director, James Cameron, reportedly donated 30,000 US dollars in total.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia - The Islamic militant suspect recently recaptured after escaping from a Singapore jail avoided detection for a year by living in an isolated Malaysian hamlet and rarely leaving his wooden house on stilts, a newspaper said Monday.
The Star daily reported that Mas Selamat Kastari, one of the most wanted terror suspects in the region, lived in Tawakal, a village of less than 100 people in the southern Johor state. It said residents were shocked to find out the fugitive had been living among them.
"He never spoke to anyone and kept to himself. And he never prayed at the local prayer room," resident Mohamad Saat, 56, was quoted as saying.
Mas Selamat, the alleged Singapore commander of the al-Qaida-linked Jemaah Islamiyah group, was sometimes seen gardening or fishing in a canal behind his house, and went out rarely. If he did, it was usually after dark, dressed in a long white robe and white turban, the report said.
Mas Selamat escaped from a high-security Singapore jail on Feb. 27, 2008, which severely embarrassed the city-state known for its rigorous security. According to Singapore authorities, he was caught again on April 1 by Malaysian security forces.
Malaysian authorities have confirmed the arrest but shared no more details. Police on Monday would not confirm The Star's unattributed report.
Mas Selamat, a Singaporean citizen of Indonesian origin, is alleged to have plotted to hijack a plane and fly it into Singapore international airport, its government says. He was caught by the Indonesian police in 2006 and handed over to Singapore, where he was being held under the Internal Security Act that allows indefinite detention without trial.
He escaped detention in Singapore by wriggling out a bathroom window just ahead of a scheduled visit by his family.
Mas Selamat, who walks with a limp, is said to have used an improvised flotation device to swim across the Strait of Johor _ the narrow waterway that separates Malaysia from Singapore _ after his escape.
It was unclear why he ended up in Tawakal, where he rented the basement of a two-story wooden house on stilts, and how authorities learned of his whereabouts. The Star said Tawakal lies in a remote neighborhood surrounded by oil palms about 7 miles (10 kilometers) from the North-South Expressway that stretches the length of Malaysia.
The report said Mas Selamat was captured in a pre-dawn police raid on his house. The landlord of the house, who lived upstairs, was also arrested, it said.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia - The Islamic militant suspect recently recaptured after escaping from a Singapore jail avoided detection for a year by living in an isolated Malaysian hamlet and rarely leaving his wooden house on stilts, a newspaper said Monday.
The Star daily reported that Mas Selamat Kastari, one of the most wanted terror suspects in the region, lived in Tawakal, a village of less than 100 people in the southern Johor state. It said residents were shocked to find out the fugitive had been living among them.
"He never spoke to anyone and kept to himself. And he never prayed at the local prayer room," resident Mohamad Saat, 56, was quoted as saying.
Mas Selamat, the alleged Singapore commander of the al-Qaida-linked Jemaah Islamiyah group, was sometimes seen gardening or fishing in a canal behind his house, and went out rarely. If he did, it was usually after dark, dressed in a long white robe and white turban, the report said.
Mas Selamat escaped from a high-security Singapore jail on Feb. 27, 2008, which severely embarrassed the city-state known for its rigorous security. According to Singapore authorities, he was caught again on April 1 by Malaysian security forces.
Malaysian authorities have confirmed the arrest but shared no more details. Police on Monday would not confirm The Star's unattributed report.
Mas Selamat, a Singaporean citizen of Indonesian origin, is alleged to have plotted to hijack a plane and fly it into Singapore international airport, its government says. He was caught by the Indonesian police in 2006 and handed over to Singapore, where he was being held under the Internal Security Act that allows indefinite detention without trial.
He escaped detention in Singapore by wriggling out a bathroom window just ahead of a scheduled visit by his family.
Mas Selamat, who walks with a limp, is said to have used an improvised flotation device to swim across the Strait of Johor _ the narrow waterway that separates Malaysia from Singapore _ after his escape.
It was unclear why he ended up in Tawakal, where he rented the basement of a two-story wooden house on stilts, and how authorities learned of his whereabouts. The Star said Tawakal lies in a remote neighborhood surrounded by oil palms about 7 miles (10 kilometers) from the North-South Expressway that stretches the length of Malaysia.
The report said Mas Selamat was captured in a pre-dawn police raid on his house. The landlord of the house, who lived upstairs, was also arrested, it said.

Hello hello good morning, afternoon evening ! everyone ! Now I'm in a KTV place singing while blogging too ! cause here do have 2 in 1 computer and KTV room mix .
now listening to ' A moment like this ' super nice can ! wrong MV ** haha super fun singing with my sister and elder and younger cousin ! . Yesterday so tired but keep on fliping bed from 12am till 3 plus 4am sian, and sleep till 10 am. Brush teeth and off our way to seafood eating place ! yummy food awaits us a kaylong ! then its like super long after we finally most of us sat together and have lunch together ! Lovily(= ( now the mic abit wrong ! ) then drive back to home again kinda took some photos about seafood and food ! cats too !

Helloooo! everyone in singapore !
I'm blogging at indonesia now. Hard to believe right?!
But really i'm right here to blog about today !
This morning was kinda tired as 3.30am then i'm off to sleep, know why?
because my whole body numb at times . and so can't really sleep that well. Damn! prepared everything and left house at 8am *Yawn* All the way in the car ride totally giving a face as too hungry ! Finally ate something at maggie house below . RoTiPraTa YUMMY !! ate 2 piece !
After that at 9am reach brian mummy house, and all together left for batam . Took ferry and about 30mins we reach habourbay(batam)
My uncle sent us back home first before we visit people's around . Reach home saw aunt uncle 's and all , its always feel warming here than singapore ! People here are real no faker's around . LOL !
and my big uncle(Da Jiu) drove us around . Took some photo and though would blog when I once reach singapore ! BUT its cool as house do have computer now !

A 22-year-old girl from Hong Kong claimed to have dated Taiwanese singer Show Lo for nearly two months and has even provided online chat records and photos to a magazine, which reported the claim.
The girl, who is known as Fanny, was reported to have posted webcam images of Lo on her blog, and had accused Lo of "betrayal". Responding to the scandalous accusation, Lo admitted to have exchanged conversations with Fanny online, amidst suspicion that he might have fallen into a trap.
Fanny, who was said to look like Taiwanese singer Selina, sent 16 pages of online conversation content and some text messages, that Lo had sent to her, to a Hong Kong magazine. In addition, Fanny exposed the details of their online affair through web conversations, phone calls and text messages for the past two months.
Fanny revealed that she got to know Lo through Facebook, where Lo added her as a friend after looking at her display picture. After a few exchanges on the social network website, they exchanged MSN addresses. The young girl said that Lo appeared to be quite liberal on their very first conversation; he even mentioned that he was "very good at it". When being asked what he was good at, Lo replied in subtlety that "he could bring her to meet Jesus".
Although without any evidence, Fanny claimed that she has been to Lo's house. The text messages that were exposed contained sweet nothings such as "I missed you today! I'm back!" and "I will have to bite you till you scream for help!"
Thinking that Lo was serious about their relationship, Fanny later discovered that Lo had other girls on his network, and that she was only one of the flings he had. She started to feel foolish to have been finding excuses for Lo for the lack of attention for her, and believed him when he said he was too busy with work.
On the other hand, Lo was shocked to hear about the accusation and expressed that this may have been a trap. Lo told the media that the girl had spent almost a month gaining his trust, and asked Lo to switch on his webcam for identity verification. The girl had used seductive words to lure him into switching on his web cam, little did he expect the web shot to be saved and published. Lo's record company reproached Fanny for being low handed, trying just to gain fame through this incident.

Into my past.
Just suddenly thought of letting everyone to see my ugly pass! just few photo as my BlackyBlacky(lappy) harddrive got crash! the other time so left with me is just few photo. Thinking back for the past few year, its really feeling stupid for buying so much of rubbish to fill up my room! Gonna do room make over soon, so I can stay home for few days without spending money. tuesday meet up with venis, kimmy and ahxiang. Walk around at wisma, took so much lot of photo and was like so much fun. Meet up with vogue luke and jazzy 1st after that chat awhile walk to heeren hmv, levi's slack at cafe. Hazel and yifang reach, veron Vogue reach too. Took some photo and they left for movie at cine. Was like my very lovely day. hazel got bad ache so ask yifang wanna go back early? she agree. While walking to mrt as meeting emerson, Hazel was like omg look! I turn saw no one suddenly Vogue and fauzi walking towards us. hahas I was like omg so coincidence(thanks weiyi) so happy! how I wish I can be part of voguelicious! took train back with emerson, yifang, hazel, jazzy and luke.

Rushing from the town I used to be at.
Back from Batam, Back from clubbing! rushing all the way just to get to Zouk last night! Voguelicious My Loves! was kind of piss cause they didn't win! Its ohkay, You guys are wining my heart! super fun thought got 3 seperated group. AhTiongFamily, Alena & Co lastly Xiuwen & friends. But really enjoy so much! dancing everywhere we go. Glossy last night were like OMG, totally awesome! Another new hair cut, I Love It. Kimmy took voguelicious video! super nice, crazy, awesome, sexy.. I totally love them!

Yesterday Went to FREAKING TOWN again! singapore, a boredom place. AhTiong without kimmy, 5 words BORED! once again watch My Bloody Valentine 3D. Got scare another time again. saw wei xiong (Clubber) and tickets seller. After the show, walk to somerset busstop.
Today, took cab to chua chu kang at about 8.11pm as meeting Kimmy and Ah Xiang, Hazel meeting too. Arcade again haha very no life! Saw AhPa(DDR) chat with him I missing him like 98345986740 years. He ask me about BabyJay stuff haha. Told him about it.

biting my lips.
awake at 9.10am when I need to start preparing at 8.45am! 25mins late and yesterday was kailing birthday, rushing rush rush. Wearing today; formal. and I met up with mathias took cab down to toa pah yoh, Philip's main office. Went up waiting for mathias while he's in the office to give the punch card. After that walk to Mrt station, took mrt to cityhall and off our way to convention hall bus stop. Saw kailing, while mathias and me hiding ;haha sound abit childish! and to the location of eating. So much of nice food, dont even know where to start from. Meet xiuwen after we're done. Play arcade awhile photo hunt 2, cooking master etc. Went to cinema for movie ;RoleModel, not a bad show actually, tell people about teaching the small boys and girls how to be good. After movie we walk from marina square to PlazaSingapura, and after PlazaSing again walk to cineleasure, saw this old drag(SUPER DUPER SCARY) walking around standing next to any boy draggy likes. Everyone look at Draggy. Kailing and me totally cant drew out our attention to draggy, LOL. Meeting kimmy and ahxiang in awhile. Xiuwen took train home, Mathias and kailing had to walk down to FarEastPlaza for bus. Saw kimmy and ahxiang, walking back to cineleasure and while walking I told them, they missed it as the draggy stuff. Dinner for kimmy at LongJohnSliver. As usual after eating, played Parapara(to cut down fat). Went to look for movie again for me to watch and coming soon(the movie) was on the A* list today evening! so we chose coming soon. Waited for fabian while we're slacking at preview lounge, grab some small bites; vegetarian basket and mocha for drinks. Awhile later fabian reach, quickly run to cinema there as wanted to watch 11.30pm show, but left 1st row ONLY! and fabian dont want because to front already. So booked ticket for 1.30am, D9 to D12. Walk down to pasta mania as fabian wanted to eat. I drink peach Soda *not bad. Went back to preview lounge to slack, fool around! HAHA. Went to toilet and to cinema, abit freaking in the starting part, scary scary all the way. Last part was like AHHHHH! Met jiamin, chatchat , took NR3 home.

Yesterday stay over at yifang house with Lixin, Linghui, Hazel and Jeffrey while i'm rushing someone's Present. Did something which turn out to be nice(= all agree! choosing photo, choosing template, choosing background and I even stress up haha. Got some sticker letter/number and we even play with it, took photo. Play carom in the morning today! so much fun. I won! after that had to rush home quickly as meeting mathias to go get something at lot 1 and and after meeting him had to rush to commonwealth and meet guanlin.(Teacher saw her stud) Recieve hogan's sms, called him and meet him too. rush down to Qweensway shopping mall to get guanlin stud, walked to ikea, have dinner with both of them.(always so happy to see guanlin and hogan!) took bus with them to jurong east interchange. Walked from interchange to BusStop behind IMM, and all out of sudden it rains. I have to run from traffic to another, called mummy if she would like to pick me up but too bad no luck. Took 176 to btpanjang interchange, transfer to Lrt and walk under the rain home.

Back into Pieces.
well, today meet up with yifang at town while buying present at PlazaSingapura. Got few item from made with love. Although its super cheap deal for a birthday card, But still its nice which i'm not gonna show till I done everything. Hope kailing will love it. After that walk to raffles to meet up with yifang, with guodong as well as yifang passing her something and awhile later in qweenstown he left.*shy*, we went to lixin house to catch up with the rest(lixin, linghui and hazel) chatting as usual, poker for bits,went to grab something for stomach, shows after that rest till 4am, off we go. Took cab home, felt something gonna happen, Scared. Nothing happen after all. Back home sleep. Freaking TUMMY!

past picture showing now to all my blog reader. look at kimmy's YiTiaoSian(one str8 row) isin't sexy? lols so much of unglam fun. Today had free lunch at Ibis hotel(next to nafa) keep messaging yifang to make her come find me because something bad happen(#%@*#@) after that meet yifang at OrchardMrt. Is always nice to chat, running around, gossiping, get mad and done load of stuff with her. We went to cineleasure, heeren, takashimaya and again back to heeren's macdonald while waiting for kimmy and yuxiang. Gossiping again !( earlier we went to play WII at cine level9) They reached, slacked, chatted abit and yifang left to meet her friend while kimmy yuxiang and me went to find siokyit. They make to angry! TMD waited for siokyit to end her job, we went to cine again, played parapara. They told me secret! hahah. Afterall took bus home.
